Hikikomori outreach through gospel-centered games
At White Hawk Games, I’m developing story-driven games that explore themes of truth, beauty, and purpose. My first project, Zaham, is an evangelical action-adventure game where players experience the gospel in a unique and immersive way

Zaham is a hell-bound sinner, cursed with a wasting disease known as the Adamrot. Branded for death and exile, he wanders in despair until he hears whispers of the Great Physician, a wise and holy man said to dwell in the Judgment Lands. With nothing left but his brokenness, Zaham sets out on a perilous journey toward healing, truth, and redemption.
Bask in the lost dreamscape world of the Judgment Lands, where players explore haunting locations such as the Village of Lawguilt and the shadowed PalmHills, and face the dangerous creatures that dwell within.

My name is Gavin Wimalachandran, founder of White Hawk Games. I’m both an evangelist and a game developer, passionate about creating games that speak to the heart. God has placed on me a particular burden to share the gospel through the medium of gaming.
In 2020, I published Joey the Bible Explorer on iOS, a Scripture-based adventure game designed to help children engage with the Word of God in an interactive and meaningful way.

In 2022, I served as the lead game designer for Space Beastz, a collaborative project with over 30 developers, born out of the Christian Game Developers Conference community.
Today, I continue to serve missionally through volunteering at Momiji, a Japanese assisted living home. There, I connect with elderly residents through relational ministry, offering companionship, prayer, and the quiet but powerful love of Christ.

Create Gospel-Centered Games
Craft story-driven games that point players toward truth, beauty, and purpose, showing the gospel through immersive worlds and meaningful gameplay.
Build a Community of Christian Creators in Japan
I dream of fostering a network of Christian game developers in Japan, where creators can encourage, collaborate, and grow together. By connecting like-minded developers, the community can produce games that reach wider audiences, especially unreached communities, and show how faith and creativity can thrive hand in hand. The goal is to build a supportive ecosystem where Japanese Christian creators can innovate, inspire, and make an impact through their art.

Reach the Unreached through Gaming
Use gaming as a bridge to connect with hikikomori and other unreached groups in Japan, offering them not just entertainment but a message of hope, healing, and redemption.
